In the rapids of Tewkesbury, beginners and seasoned rafters join the rafting pros at Excursions Jacques Cartier for tumultuous trips downriver before swimming in open waters and settling in for nights on the lakeshore. Over the course of two days, adventurers camp amid nature, alternating kayak expeditions, hiking, and stargazing by the light of the fire at night. At campsites, children play volleyball and parents set off in canoes to explore a private lake surrounded by pine trees. Rafting excursions take place on an 8.5-kilometre section of the Jacques-Cartier River, where groups of up to 125 rafters navigate Class III and IV rapids with professional guides.
