Niji Sushi Bar et Restaurant
9385 Boul. Leduc, Suite 5, Quartier Dix30, Brossard
http://www.niji.ca
Located in the heart of Quartier Dix30 in Brossard, Niji offers its take on tradition with an innovative and contemporary menu of Japanese cuisine using fresh and seasonal products. In Japan, diners use the term _omakase_—meaning “your choice”—to leave the selection of their menu to the chef. During Niji’s six-course omakase tasting, guests embrace the chef’s inspiration as taste buds enjoy numerous raw and cooked dishes. The menu changes with seasonal produce. Past dishes have included baked oysters au gratin on half shell with sautéed spinach, enoki mushrooms and caramelized onion; a crunchy crepe stuffed with lobster, asparagus, and apples and served with a cranberry sauce; and beef sashimi topped with chives and ginger and served with a yuzu sauce. Screens featuring a cherry-blossom design and rich wooden furniture are combined elegantly with avant-garde architecture and jazz music.
