With today’s Groupon: for $25, you get $50 worth of Thai fare at Red Thai.

At Red Thai, masterful chefs serve up a sumptuous assortment of traditional red, yellow, and green curries. Enterprising forks embark on an expedition through the fragrant realms of the chicken panang curry, swathing prongs in a robe of creamy coconut milk and a tangy lime-leaf flourish ($16). Filet mignon’s natural hunger-fighting powers are enhanced by a bath of green curry, eggplant, and coconut milk ($18). Like paddling a canoe with a spatula, the orange-sauce-drizzled red snapper directs dinner toward nautical realms ($20). For dessert, reward mouths for not shouting out an ex’s credit-card numbers with sweet treats such as sticky rice immersed in coconut milk and fresh mango ($7).

Reviews
The Montreal Gazette reviewed the fare at Red Thai. TripAdvisors give the restaurant an average rating of 3.5 owl eyes, and 81 per cent of Urbanspooners recommend it.

  • Duck is a meat that lends itself brilliantly to Thai flavours, which is why the duck salad with lemongrass, mint and lemon juice is a must. – Lesley Chesterman, Montreal Gazette, 10-12-8
