Communing with Poseidon’s whims for more than 31 years, Rafting Nouveau Monde and its expert guides usher thrill seekers through the Rouge River’s exciting rapids (a $79 value). With levels of intensity ranging from Class I beginner rivers to Class VI expert routes, raft riders may encounter the terrain’s various temperaments, from its calm flows to its immature name calling, while snuggled in a provided rented wetsuit (a $14.05 value). Waterways include the gentle gesticulation of the Family Rapids, the undulating waves of the Washing Machine, and the rocking white waters of the Confusion Rapids, which often result in the misuse of paddles for stilts.
After a day of current conquering, those participating in the Jamboree option can partake in a poolside barbecue (for an additional fee) and included live music on Saturday evenings, then rest water-worn bodies overnight at the New World Centre’s campground—followed by an included breakfast the next morning (a $17 value for camping and breakfast).
